DescriptionPacket of letters and papers, most, if not all, of which are concerned with restoration of the cathedral. They include a letter from the dean of Gloucester, about alterations in his cathedral yard; lists of subscribers; valuations of houses in the Close, and of the belfry; letters from subscribers (two of these are from the earl of Radnor who enclosed some suggestions about an organ, with a sketch); letter from the dean of Salisbury about the new organ to be presented by the king, and asking to see Wyatt's plan; letter from a Mrs Smith about tombstones in the cathedral; letter from Lord Huntingdon assenting to demolition of the Hungerford Chantry.
