| Description | These are indexed registers of bishops' acts, on various matters such as institutions, collations to prebends, licences for residence and non-residence, resignations, licences of curates, commissions to view glebe, exchanges of glebe, ordinations, consecrations and licences for services in unconsecrated buildings, some of which are recorded in the Bishops’ registers. From 1879 they become day books with briefer entries and accounts of fees, etc.
