William Tayllar, Bremhill, clothier, 55; has lived there from infancy.He has known Mr Collier for 8 years. He kept a school at Christian Malford for 2 years and then one at Bremhill for 2 years, before he became vicar 4 years ago.

Elizabeth Clarke, 46, wife of Christopher Clarke, Marlborough St Peter, cooper; has lived there almost from infancy, born in St Margarets in Preshute.

Denis was the daughter of John Mawdite [will P3/M/1], who died two years before at Woodborough, and the wife of Osmund Plant decd (married c 20 years ago), now wife of Edmund Trumpline, Christian Malford. Evidence of:
John Elizander, Upavon, husbandman, 60; has lived there from infancy.
Henry Tarrant, Rushall, husbandman, 50; lived there for 4 weeks after the feast of the Annunciation of Blessed Mary [25 Mar].
John Parfite, Charlton, husbandman, 20; has lived there for 2 years.

ff36v-40v. 10 Feb 1602. Ann Church v Thomas Long; breach of promise of marriage. Evidence of: Philip Grant*, Semington, yeo, 24 ; has lived there from two weeks after the feast of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary [25 Mar]; raised from birth in Bradford on Avon.
William Burgis*, Semington, tailor, 40; has lived there for 15 years. Robert Rowland, Hinton in Steeple Ashton, husbandman, 33; has lived there a quarter of a year, and before in Melksham for 15 years.

ff42v-43v 22 Feb 1602. Joan Williams [alias Ellycarter] v Pierce [alias Bachelor]; defamation. Evidence of :
