| Description | One volume. This is arranged like a clergy book, by deanery for each visitation. The names of the incumbents are given, but many of the names for the visitation have been crossed out. The 1708 visitation is not complete, Chalke and part of Amesbury deaneries being missing. Against one patron's name (Salisbury St. Edmund) the date '1725' has been written; and all the patrons' names are in different ink from the other writing, so it is probably a clergy book which came to be used as a sort of 'diocese book'. |
