Thes are certificates signed by members of the congregation, that a particular building or room was intended to be set apart for public worship, and naming the denomination. They were required by the Toleration Act of 1688 and were to be sent in to and registered by either the bishop or archdeacon or Quarter Sessions. Covers Wiltshire and Berkshire.
