8 - Humorous letter, illustrated with sketches, from Captain H J Hodgson RN to his daughters recording his sighting of a 75 foot “sea serpent” while serving on HM Steam Sloop “Plumper” in 1848, and the resulting notoriety once this became public knowledge.
